The Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust is a trade charity which provides grants to the children of UK fashion and textile employees. Grants fund essential items to support the health and wellbeing of all children in the family (aged 0-18 years). Funded items include mobility equipment, sensory toys, therapy, essential clothing and more.
FTCT grants can also fund essential household items like a working cooker for hot meals or a working washing machine for clean clothes.
Trade criteria
To apply, parents must work or have previously worked in the UK fashion and textile industry for at least one year, within the last nine years. This means those no longer in work may still apply.
Fashion and textiles is any UK business which designs, sells, manufactures, services or distributes clothing, footwear, soft furnishings or fabrics. This includes supermarkets which sell clothing. Please check their website for full trade criteria details.
Income criteria
The charity does have an income criteria, but grants are assessed on a case by case basis.
Age criteria
Grants support children aged 0-18 years.

Just being able to give them their own space within the new house has been brilliant. When Jacob and Leyla saw their new stuff, they were so happy. Given their complex needs, sharing a room really isn’t ideal at all, but it’s already had a positive impact on their behaviour.
It’s actually really hard to take money off people regardless of whether it’s a charity or from friends, but the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust were amazing and made it very natural for us to be able to accept what they wanted to support us with. They are fantastic!
